The young Enzo Daniel Chamorro, a 26-year-old former professional football player, has been charged with aggravated homicide due to the relationship following the brutal murder of his partner, Malena Soto, in a hotel in Lomas de Zamora. Chamorro, who was part of the Camioneros club from 2019 until mid-2024, was arrested after the hotel manager alerted the police upon noticing strange behavior from the perpetrator, who fled when he was unable to access the room.
According to the ongoing investigation, authorities entered room 17 and discovered the lifeless body of the victim in the bathroom. Following Chamorro's arrest in Lomas de Zamora, his football history was revealed, highlighting his time at the Social and Deportivo Camioneros Club, where he played as a forward for five years before becoming a free agent in mid-2024. During his time at the club, he played seven matches as a starter and scored one goal, with his last match being against Club NĂ¡utico Hacoaj in May of last year.
The accused, who abstained from making a statement, was captured by the security cameras of the Satellite hotel along with the victim, both entering the building on Monday, January 20, showing Chamorro's subsequent departure from the location to 'look for something in his car,' which was not found in the vicinity. Malena Soto, the victim of this act of violence, leaves behind a 5-year-old daughter.
